This is the segment I edited for Episode 04 of Found Causes. Whiz Kids seeks to break the cycle of poverty and drug addiction by helping tutor inner city kids. My mom participates every week and finds it very rewarding. Whiz Kids is a program put together by an organization called City Care which deals with adults who struggle with poverty and drugs. The idea was to reduce the numbers of adults who needed that kind of help by making sure younger generations never get to that point.

My segment from episode 03 of Found Causes. Willow Springs Boys Ranch, in Chandler, OK takes care of boys in need of a stable home, but they have a unique way to provide for their needs. They fund their operation with a camp called Jacob's Ladder that can be booked by church groups, corporations, and sports teams.

My second segment from Found Causes. Mustard Seed helps poor and elderly individuals in the 73114 zip code maintain their houses. It was an amazing shoot watching people volunteer their time, energy, money, and materials to help complete strangers.

This is my first segment for our show Found Causes. OKC Compasion is a group focusing on helping the homeless in the heart of Oklahoma City.
One of the goals of the show stylistically was to take a cinematic approach rather than a simple video documentary approach. We shot 24p on a mix of Panasonic HVX-200& HMC-40, Canon T2i & T3i's. Editorially we want to show people what each group does rather than just let them tell you.
Cut in FCP 7 and colored with Magic Bullet Looks.

Basically, it's dogs playing in snow...
A quick project based on the fact there was snow on the ground. Shot on the HMC-40, edited in FCP7, and color in Magic Bullet Looks.
My first attempt at a true Spec Spot for my directing reel and a chance to learn my camera a little better. The original idea was for the piece to play out more like a horror story, but that didn't work so, I came up with the sentimental copy in post.
Shot on an HMC-40, edited in FCP7, and color in Magic Bullet Looks.
Oklahoma Video Production
Friendenstein was the product of a 24-hour film race hosted at my alma mater, Oklahoma City University. It was fun going back to the campus to shoot and meet the new kids coming up behind me. With it being Halloween weekend and a theme of 'Creation', a riff on Frankenstein was only natural. Our line was "Don't worry. This will all be over soon." and our prop was duct tape.
Shot on an HMC-150 and HMC-40, edited in Final Cut Pro 7, and colored with Magic Bullet Looks.
Mixing wine with Oklahoma video production.
I did this spot for the Ravenswood Wine contest on Poptent.net and to add to my directing reel. Special thanks to my friend Heather Mickley and her grandparents for the use of their farm. I found out about the contest 36 hours before the deadline. With no time to throw together a full cast and crew, Heather and I just went for broke to see if we could pull it off in time. Ultimately, I would have loved to have an actor to play the 'wine taster' instead of me. However, Heather's grandfather and uncle did a great job.
First shots of my new Panasonic HMC-40 right out of the box. It's a small camera, but packs a powerful punch.
