My Work in Oklahoma Video Production! 

This is my 2013 Demo Reel. All the work was produced in 2012. Included is my work at Grapevine Media as well as many side projects I completed. I wanted a faster, upbeat feel this year as opposed to last year's more funky demo reel. I got to work on a lot of exciting and engaging projects. I also got to create several projects that exceeded my expectations. I plan to dedicate the majority of time in 2013 to creating a proper directing spec spot reel as I pursue a career as a national commercial director.

Found Causes "DSACO"

Walking for Oklahoma Video Production

I edited this segment for our show, Found Causes, featuring DSACO, (Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma) a group dedicated to education and advocacy for people with Down Syndrome.

This amazing organization provides support to the Down Syndrome community. They help expecting parents who have gotten a possible diagnosis of Down Syndrome as well as parents who have had or adopted children with Down Syndrome. DSACO also is an advocate for people with Down Syndrome in the community, schools, and the work force. Their annual Buddy Walk is a great gathering of the community.

Found Causes "Jubilee Partners"

After School with Oklahoma Video Production

I edited this segment for our show, Found Causes, for Jubilee Partners, an inner-city after-school program. On the outskirts of downtown Oklahoma City, Jubilee is providing after-school support to kids in the inner city. The neighborhood is surrounded with industrial development with no real spaces for kids to play. Jubilee provides the community center the area so desperately needed.

Found Causes "New View"

Rowing with Oklahoma Video Production

I edited this segment for our show, Found Causes, featuring New View, a job training and living assistance organization for the blind and visually impaired. Formerly the Oklahoma League for the Blind, New view is one of the largest contractors for the government where the employees are blind or visually impaired. In addition to employment and job training, New View provides assistance for those losing their sight or struggling with vision impairment. Help includes home visits, visual aid devices, and eyesight exercises. New View even has athletic programs including dance and rowing. Last, every summer, New View sponsors Owl Camp. Owl Camp is a camp for visually impaired children and teens. Each camper is paired with a fully-sighted buddy their age. Activities are held all through Oklahoma City including visits to museums, the zoo, and sports.

Found Causes "Special Care"

Hooping It Up with Oklahoma Video Production

I edited this segment for our show Found Causes. Nick Collison of the Oklahoma City Thunder finds his cause at a school for children with special needs.

Special Care is a day care center that focuses on serving children with special needs. They have before and after school programs. One unique aspect of their program is they mix both special needs children with kids who do not need special care. The effect is broaden the horizons for all the children in the program. Nick Collison befriended a teenager with an amazing basketball ability and he is now Nick's number one fan.

Found Causes "FACT"

Just the FACTS with Oklahoma Video Production

This is the segment I edited for our show Found Causes about FACT, the Oklahoma City Police Department's gang prevention unit. Located in the inner city, FACT is aimed at preventing youths from engaging in gangs. FACT provides them a safe place where police officers in street clothes can talk to them without the stigma of authority figures. Mentors help guide the kids into sticking with schools. FACT also engages in group role play so that kids can be prepared for when they may be approached by gangs and will know what to do to get out of that situation.

Found Causes "Sunset Therapeutic Riding Center"

Riding Off Into the Sunset with Oklahoma Video Production

This is from one of our recent episodes of Found Causes.  I did the cinematography for the opening of the piece and the color grading for the whole piece.

Sunset TRC utilizes horses to provide therapy for children with autism and physical handicaps. The horses's natural movements are great for children with mobility issues as the muscle movements of the horse help exercise the muscles in the kids. For kids with autism, it offers them a chance to communicate and participate in ways other therapies cannot.

Jammed Pack with Oklahoma Video Production!

My 2012 demo reel.  Cut in FCP X with an assist from FCP 7 & Magic Bullet Looks 2.0. There was a great step forward in my professional work that I'm pleased with. I also experimented with split screens and split screen transitions that I eventually started to apply to other work. Overall, 2012 was a great year. I did a lot of work for Grapevine Media and a fair amount of stuff on my own. I really think my skills and abilities increased over the course of the year and gave me the confidence that I had, in fact, chosen the right career. Project included:

Found Causes "OKC Compassion"

Compassionate Oklahoma Video Production

This is my first segment for our show Found Causes.  OKC Compasion is a group focusing on helping the homeless in the heart of Oklahoma City.

One of the goals of the show stylistically was to take a cinematic approach rather than a simple video documentary approach.  We shot 24p on a mix of Panasonic HVX-200& HMC-40, Canon T2i & T3i's.  Editorially we want to show people what each group does rather than just let them tell you.
